The documents listed below are designed to help students and parents interpret and understand the East Garner Middle School Student Schedule/Timetable. After looking through the materials, if you have additional questions, please contact your student's grade level counselor. Most importantly, please use the "Understanding the Timetable/Schedule" to identify your child's third period class as this will be the first place they will report to on the first day of school.

Year 1/6th Grade - Conswalia Chambers-Banks 662-2345

Year 2/7th Grade - Dean Wright 662-2347

Year3/8th Grade - Clarence Morgan 773-3834

East Garner 2011-2012 Welcome Letter - this document is the welcome to school letter mailed home to all parents with the 2011 - 2012 student schedule.

Understanding the Timetable/Schedule- this document provides step by step directions designed to explain when a student takes their classes and if the classes are quarter long, semester long, or year long.

Course Key Code - this document provides a guide for deciphering the many different generic course titles on a student's schedule. For example the course 9010CQH is entitle Magnet PE/Health and using the Course Key Code it can be determined that this course is actually Indoor Sports.

Schedule Template - this form can be used to help write out the student timetable/schedule by A day and B day. By doing so, it is easy to find possible holes in the schedule or repeated courses. Teachers will work with students on the opening days to complete this form at school.
