Services

    At East Garner Magnet Middle School, our guidance and student services department provides a variety of services including conflict resolution, peer mediation, classroom guidance, student observations, crisis counseling, outside referrals, registration and testing management. Our dedicated staff is always available to provide services to students in small groups throughout the school day. Our guidance counselors can also provide additional information and assistance on testing and college requirements.

Fine Arts/Subject Area Electives Registration

As a current or new resident of Wake County in our attendance zone, parents or legal guardians should bring proof of residence and withdrawal documents from their child's previous school before registering them at East Garner. Acceptable documents establishing proof of residence include electricity bill; city water, or heat bill; lease or purchase contract with purchaser and seller signatures. If you have recently arrived to live in our area from out of state, you should provide a birth certificate and immunization records to guidance counselors before coming to register at our school. In accordance with state law, we must have all necessary documents before we can enroll students in our school.

     Parents and school staff can write or email a counselor, social worker, or psychologist and set up appointments for professional consultations. We ask parents to come by the guidance office or contact their teacher for request forms. Students can request to see any member of our staff through their teacher. Each staff member can be contacted via phone or e-mail by accessing the information below.
