 Science & Technology Camp

Every year East Garner hosts a science focused summer camp.  Past camps have included a water quality camp and a forensics camp. This year we are going to focus on the STEM principles.  STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Students will use computer- based probes to design and carry out experiments, use various robots, and even design and build a robot.  The camp will culminate with the students using computer based probes to measure forces exerted on them during a ride at an amusement park. Learn about robots and robotic controls. Build Robots for a competition. Use wireless computers to collect information from the field. Design experiments using the latest technology.  Take a field trip to a theme park were they will use wireless sensors to collect information about theme park rides. 

SUMMER CAMP FORM

Who: All current 6th and 7th grade EGMMS students.  

Where: The camp will take place at EGMMS with a  culminating field trip to an Amusement Park.  

When: July 27th –July 31^st  Approximately from 8am to2pm.  

Cost: $75 per student which includes snacks, park admission ($45), and transportation.
